Volunteer Obligations and Parent's Assignments

Pusch Ridge Swim Team, Inc. is 100% run and operated by parents. Every job that must get done, gets done by a parent! Every family is responsible for signing up for three different work shifts. Job selection is first come, first served. The assignment sheet will be distributed at registration, the parent meeting, and will be posted at practice. It is the responsibility of parents to check their schedules early and sign up.

Those who do not sign up, will be assigned jobs. Everyone will be given a copy of the season’s job chart. This, along with your swim team directory, will allow you to find a replacement if you cannot cover your shift. We strive to make this as simple as possible - however, it is your responsibility to find a replacement! Parents who do not show up to work the meet will be fined $25 per meet!!

It takes many people working together so we may host a well-run meet. The following jobs ( click on the job titles below to see job descriptions ) should help you find your niche.

The Pusch Ridge Swim Team, Inc. will host five swim meets in May and June (typically held on Thursday evenings). All swim team families are expected to work three swim meets to make sure they run smoothly. The SAAA also drafts parents from all participating swim teams to help with Invitationals and Championships. Parents of swimmers participating in Championships, held 2 days in July at the end of the SAAA season, are expected to "work" one of the five shifts scheduled at either Prelims and/or Finals.
