General Rules of Swim Meets

Basically, use good judgement and use the rules of good sportsmanship when hosting a swim meet.

We must all work together to make swim meets successful. If we follow these suggestions, it will make it easier for you, the swimmers, the volunteers, the coaches, and officials during the meet.
Wear your TEAM t-shirts! Please label your swimmer's items and make sure they bring home THEIR items at the end of the night. There is a lost and found in the lifeguards' office if you loose something.
Use appropriate behavior in the restroom and showers and please keep the restroom clean.
No running on the deck at any time. Injury from a slip and fall can seriously hurt you or those around you. Parents, please keep track of your children!
When behind the blocks or waiting by the pool for your event, please wait quietly. 8 & Unders, please sit quietly in the order you have been placed as this is your swim lane placements.
Anyone not swimming in an event or officiating should not be behind the blocks. There are 16 timers, 1 head timer, 2 runners, 2-3 stroke and turn judges, and coaches along with the swimmers. Only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers are allowed behind the blocks. Speak with the Clerk of Course for an emergency or special circumstance.
Swimmers need to stay close to their group or family and must be ready when their event is called. Please pay attention to the Starter as the events are announced. At home meets, Meet Programs are available for sale and these are beneficial in following your swimmer's events as well as other Pusch Ridge swimmers.
If another swimmer or guest is rude and bothersome, please find a Coach or Board Member. If someone looks suspicious in the pool area or at the fence, alert a Coach, Board Member, or Lifeguard immediately.
PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES! No glass containers from home, please!
